Nordic Track Treadmill

nordic track treadmill ratings and reviewsNordic Track treadmill is a subsidiary of Icon Fitness, which offers other treadmill brands including ProForm, Image, Reebok and Weslo. Icon tends to be the GM of treadmills and Nordic Track would be their Cadillac models.

Their Nordic track treadmills range in price from $900 to $4,200. As we have stated with other Icon treadmills, for the money you get an impressive looking treadmill with some interesting features like the iFIT interactive technology and the Reflex deck found on the Nordic Track 7600 R. But as we have mentioned with other Icon treadmills, don't let the design, size and the bells and whistles be the determining factor in your purchase. Always be confident that the treadmill you purchase will last for the long haul. Hi-tech features can often cause maintenance problems.

Looking at individual models we are not impressed with the small motor size of the Nordic Track C1900. It has a 1.5 hp continuous duty motor. The cost of the treadmill is $899, plus $125 for delivery. I would think they could at least install a 2.0 hp motor. Although it does comes with a 20" x 55" treadbelt.

What distinguishes the NordicTrack from other Icon brands is the extended warranty. Most Icon treadmills come with a very limited 90 day warranty. A tell tale sign of the quality of their products. The NordicTrack treadmill warranty covers the motor for three years, other parts for two years and all labor charges for one year. The frame is covered for five years. For further coverage, extended warranties are also available.

Regarding the ReFlex deck, Treadmill Doctor said that they were impressed with how it stood up over time, but that they found it a bit "bouncy".

The models reviewed our iFit compatible. This is actually a brilliant marketing gimmick. For an additional $15 per month you can get a variety of downloadable specialized programs for your elliptical.

NordicTrack Treadmill Ratings

Treadmill Doctor Review

Treadmill Doctor is not very impressive with the Nordic Track. They say, "The treadmills are beautifully packaged machines and look great in your home. They have had a flurry of failures including, upper boards, lower boards, rear endcaps, etc. and they are much more expensive to repair than a Proform model, another brand made by the same company."

Although the Doctor does have a favorable opinion of the NordicTrack 8600. They call it the "Nordic Truck."

ConsumerGuide Nordic Track Review

ConsumerGuide rated the C2200 with a "Best Buy". We assume that treadmill has been replaced with the C2300.

We recommend you also check out the Smooth 5.25 with a 20" wide belt and a 2.5 hp motor and a 10 year warranty on the motor.
